PCSO Stuart Smith - Profile
I will start this short note by introducing myself. My name is Stuart Smith I am 26 years old and I am a newly appointed Police Community Support Officer for the Stanground and Fletton areas of Peterborough.
My previous jobs have included working in an Insurance Brokers, a Sales Executive for a well known brand of car and commercial vehicle manufacturer and most recently as an Assistant Manager in Retail. All these positions have required me to be in contact with people both face to face and over the telephone, so I have built up the skills to deal with all types of people in a professional manner, an essential skill for my new role in your community.
I have been out and about in the area in last few weeks under the watchful eyes of PCSO Griffin, PC Duce and also Sgt. Trippett. All of whom have given me the benefit of their experience of the area and have all gone out of their way to help me settle into Stanground. I have already come accross a wide range of issues and met lots of people in Stanground and look forward to meeting lots more and helping my team and the community to tackle any problems in the area.
I will be visiting the schools in Stanground in order to meet the teachers, staff and most importantly the children.Not simply just to do talks on various issues but also to work with them in their classroom environment and hopefully to help them paint some great works of art!!! I feel this contact is especially important as I wish the children to be able to approach and talk to me both now and as they grow up, and not to be frightened of the uniform.
Please keep an eye out for further updates from me and the rest of the team, as I can already see that E-cops is an essential tool in the fight against crime.
Stanground is a large area to cover but I will endeavour to cover every corner of it and look forward to meeting you all in due course, so please feel free to approach me, ask me questions, to pass on any information or observations or even if you just want to say hello.
